रेलवे बोर्ड ने रेलवे आवासों के लाइसेंस शुल्क (Standard Rent) की दरों को 1 जुलाई 2026 से संशोधित किया है। संशोधित दरें Type-I से Type-V तक के रेलवे आवासों पर लागू होंगी, लेकिन Sub-standard accommodation पर लागू नहीं होंगी। Servant Quarter का शुल्क ₹130 और Garage का शुल्क ₹90 प्रति माह किया गया है। Type-V आवास में 350 वर्गमीटर से अधिक क्षेत्र के लिए अधिकतम संशोधित शुल्क ₹5,860 प्रति माह निर्धारित किया गया है।

Sub: Revision of flat rate of Licence Fee (Standard Rent) for residential accommodation all over Indian Railways w.e.f. 01.07.2026 – reg.
The flat rates of Licence Fee (Standard Rent) for residential accommodation all over Indian Railways were last revised w.e.f. 01.07.2023 vide Board's letter of even number dated 27.10.2023.
Ministry of Railways has now decided to revise the Licence Fee (Standard Rent) for residential accommodation all over the Indian Railways w.e.f. 01.07.2026, as shown in Annexure-A.
The revised rates will be effective from 01.07.2026.
3.The revision shall be valid for residential accommodations all over the Indian Railways. However, it does not apply to sub-standard accommodation.
4.Immediate action may please be taken to give effect to these orders.

Other provisions
(i) Servant Quarters and Garages
For allotted servant quarters and garages, the following flat rates may be recovered:

(ii) The rates of Licence Fee for Type-IV quarters will also apply to officers' Transit Flats.
(iii) The Licence Fee for all other types of quarters having a plinth area above 350 sq. metres will be the rate applicable to the highest slab of Type-V accommodation, i.e. ₹5,860 per month.
